BSc Thesis
My BSc thesis, titled "Scan image analysis using deep learning techniques", written in the Greek language, as required by the department.
You can find it here.
More details...
The thesis is a comparative evaluation of CNN-based, Transformer-based and Hybrid Deep Learning models for the task of illicit object detection on X-ray images. The models were evaluated using the mAP50 and mAP50:95 metric on a selection of 5 datasets more commonly used in the recent literature.
It was presented online at October 4th, 2024, and was graded with a 10/10. It was uploaded to HUA's digital library on October 15th, 2024.
There is a journal extension in the works, which will be submitted to a relevant conference in the near future.
